Who am I?
My name is Rhegan Derfus. I am your non-judgemental, you-focused, gentle, balanced perspective-taking, support person.
I am the owner and primary service provider for Wildflower Services & Consulting, LLC. I have been working with families with young children in Cochise County for 12 years, and families in Arizona for 11 years. I have worked as:
· A home visitor, educating and supporting families during pregnancy and the first five years of their child’s life
· A postpartum depression warm-line program coordinator and operator
· An early childhood nutrition program educator
· A breastfeeding counselor
I am an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), certified in October 2019. In addition to my private practice, I am 1 of 3 lactation consultants at Canyon Vista Medical Center. I am professionally trained in the Strengthening Families Protective Factors Framework, which includes resilience, Adverse Child Experiences, strength-based approaches, and social-emotional development. I specialize in tongue tie assessment, oral function, in-home postpartum support, " the first year" of child development, and holistic family care.
